Hi, I’m Catrin MacMahon
A real estate, hospitality, lifestyle, and interior photographer, combining a German eye for detail with the warmth and light of Cape Town living. From boutique hotels and design homes to Airbnbs and eco-lodges, I create clean, inviting images that help spaces stand out — and help hosts earn more.
A trained psychologist turned photographer, born in Germany, and now living back in Cape Town after years between both countries since 2007. I live with my South African husband and our two children, and I’ve always been drawn to beauty, light, and the quiet stories held in everyday spaces.
I combine my background in psychology and systemic thinking with photography to tell meaningful stories about people, places, and projects. My work is guided by principles of sustainability, regeneration, and whole-system design — helping properties, eco-lodges, and conservation initiatives not just look beautiful, but communicate their deeper values and purpose.
What began as a passion has grown into a profession I love: helping hosts, homeowners, and agents show their spaces in the best light — honestly and beautifully.
